Jharkhand Science and Environment Festival (JSEF) is our flagship event held every year in January and February. With this event, we aim to encourage the young generation to protect and preserve the environment. JSEF is a multi-day fest filled with enthralling events such as debates, model making and AdSense. JSEF is also one of the largest Science-Environmental fests in the East zone with the participation of more than 25+ schools and 500 students.

Lucky Brainiacs

This year, we have introduced a novel event which is an amalgamation of an American BINGO, product restoration and wordplay on the theme of Environment. The first round is a BINGO followed by a round to fabricate a highly efficient restored product. The parameters for judgement will be the product’s use to the environment and its cost-effectiveness. The final round will test the participant's wordplay and impromptu thinking skills.

Adsense

Marketing is the king of all industries, and advertisements are one of the main sources of marketing. With the growth of sustainable industries, the marketing of such products is crucial. With this event, we aim to make students aware of the rising sustainable industry and also give them a taste of the marketing industry. This event requires the participants to promote a given product in the form of a painting along with a strong message of 60 words in stipulated time. And then advertise the same to the jury.

Speak to lead

An extempore that enables the participants to improve their speaking skills and also brainstorm ideas and arguments to uphold. The judging will be based on the participants speaking skills, relatability to the topic and their ideas. This will be a two-day event and the number of rounds depends on the participation.

PENolution: "The pen is mightier than the sword."

Revolutions and radical ideas are best conveyed via simple words understood en masse. Not everyone writes words that sway people and win them over; only a certain few have the skill to do so. In “PENolution” (a concatenation of pen and revolution), the participants' grasp on environmental issues and eco-friendly practices are tested in the form of an essay where their eloquence and their hand on language will be deciding factor. The topic of the essay will be shared the day before the event.
